What are the different types of career site?

Industry / Niche: websites that carry open vacancies for companies and institutions within a specific industry sector (e.g. catering, health-care), or particular occupation (e.g. PA, sales, accountant).

Regional: websites that carry open vacancies for companies and institutions within a specific geographic area (e.g. London, East Midlands, Merseyside, Scotland).

Trade & Association: web sites hosted by an industry trade body carrying open positions within their specific trade/industry (e.g. British Interactive Media Association).

Direct Employer: websites hosted by employers for open positions within their specific company (e.g. British Airways Jobs, Middlesex County Council, University of Aberdeen and even small employers), providing job seekers with a way of applying directly to the employer.
